| Description | Named after Áron Szilágyi, the Hungarian gold medalist of the 2012 Londoni Olimpic games (fencing, men's sabre). The bird was tagged in the Jászság before leaving the nest (Territory Code: J-12). Áron has visited South-Hungary, but spent most of his time in Heves county (NE-Hungary). Here he was hit by a train on 17 December 2012. His satellite tag was forunately removed by a train worker, because at the next day his carcass was removed by a fox and never found again. |
